COMMISSION A STAINED GLASS ARTWORK

A request to celebrate a 50th birthday. The client expressed that the recipient of this gift of stained glass absolutely loved orange and pink, hated green. She loved flowers and preferred organic shapes. These preferences were referenced in this abstract artwork.

A commission was requested to translate a business logo into stained glass art, commemorating an employee's work and success.

Circular shaped stained glass art  produce stunning compositions which I call medallions. They are opulent and a focal point in any room. Unique, surprising line work is revealed with the application of black grout.

The construction of a stained glass appliqué design is more labor intensive. All glass edges are finely ground and the glueing technique is exacting. The result is elegant and transparent : glass 'floating' in the window.

This mosaic was installed in the bathroom of my home in New Brunswick. It is an especially vibrant stained glass design which affords complete privacy. The stained glass slides up with the bottom window pane to open the window.
